Maternal/Child Nurse Case Management

This program provides on-site and in-home Community Health Nurse Case Management services to uninsured pregnant women and children up to age two. Case management services include education, assessment and referral, and assistance to clients in accessing health, economic, and self-sufficiency services and programs.

Services:	Expectant/New Parent Assistance Expectant/New Parent Assistance Programs that provide educational and supportive services for new parents or parents who are expecting a child to prepare them on an emotional and practical level for the impact that a newborn will have upon their lives and relationships. Included are practical information about the care of a new infant such as bathing techniques, diapering, feeding cycles and infant and childhood illnesses and later, walking, talking, toilet training and other developmental skills; suggestions for sibling preparation; and other techniques for facilitating the addition of the newborn to the family.
