Representative Payee Program
Clients are matched with a volunteer who is appointed by the benefit agency to receive and manage the benefit funds on behalf of their client. The funds are managed by the volunteer and used to meet the client’s current needs.

Low income, disabled Montgomery County residents age 18 and over who need a Representative Payee and have no family or friend who can serve in that role. About half of the Representative Payee Program clients live with mental illness.
