Victim Advocacy

The Victim Advocate provides information, assistance, and support to victims and witnesses of crime throughout the criminal justice process and, where appropriate, the civil process, in order to improve their understanding of and participation in the criminal justice process and CINA hearings, and to ensure safety and a sense of well-being. The primary goals are: To enhance victim/witness understanding of and participation in the criminal justice process, to enhance victim/witness understanding of and participation in the civil process, to assist the victim/witness to regain a sense of well-being, and to encourage the development of community support structures for the assistance of victims of crime.
