Bridge of Hope for Chinese Children

The Bridge of Hope program, founded in 1997, provides older orphans, ages 6 to 13, with two to three weeks of winter or summer fun, good nutrition, a chance to learn about American culture, and the opportunity to live in a family setting. The underlying purpose is to identify loving, adoptive homes for the children in the program. Children visit in December/January or July, attend day camp and participate in family activities with their host families, and return to their homelands at the end of the program. Ninety percent of children who participate in the program become adopted.
