Children in Need of Supervision
Also Known As: CINS
The CINS Program offers case management services throughout Montgomery County to youth and families who would benefit from additional support. Services are provided for up to 90 days. The Program promotes the integration of support and interventions across service systems to include academic advocacy/support, anger management, community service opportunities, recreational activities, individual mental health services, family mental health services, substance abuse services, and employment training.CINS services are for youth who routinely miss school, are not following parental directives, pose a danger to self or others, violate curfew, and generally refuse to follow rules. Youth and their families must be residents of Montgomery County, Maryland.
